Our Beliefs
Is it our responsibility to support these families? If you will look at Acts 2:42-47, you'll see what God's intention was for a community. In verse 45 it says, "...they gave to anyone as he had need." More specifically to address what we do at the New Leaf Foundation, look in Galatians 6:10 where it says, "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." The families we work with are actively serving believers who are in need and it is our responsibility to give.
Our ministry is primarily rooted in the message of the Gospel. We give generously because Christ first gave to us. Below is what we believe regarding the message of the Gospel:
We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and this God is sovereign over all things.
1 Corinthians 8:6, John 14:26, Ephesians 4:4-6
We believe that all people have sinned and are in need of a savior.
Romans 3:23-24, Colossians 1:20-22
We believe that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ who is God and who gives salvation to those who repent and place their faith in Him. We believe that this salvation is a gift of grace and not by our own works.
John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Timothy 2:5
We believe that true life change and healing come from salvation in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18, 1 Peter 2:24
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus Christ and that all believers are members of God's Church. We believe that the purpose of His Church is to serve as God's hands and feet on earth.
1 Corinthians 12:12, Philippians 2:1-5, Ephesians 2:19-22, Matthew 28:19-20
